Popis
Add event ticketing to WordPress with one shortcode — and keep checkout on your own site.
Ticket Spot connects your WordPress site to your Ticket Spot account. Build a widget in the dashboard, paste one shortcode into any page or post, and visitors browse events, choose tickets and pay without ever leaving your domain.
How it works
- Install and activate this plugin (it is free, and it stays free).
- Go to Settings Ticket Spot and sign in.
- In your Ticket Spot dashboard, build a widget — a calendar layout or a list of events — and copy its widget ID.
- Paste
[ticket_spot widget_id="your-widget-id"]into any page, post or block.
That is the whole setup. widget_id is the only attribute the shortcode takes: what the widget shows and how it looks are properties of the widget, set once in the dashboard, so you never edit the shortcode again to change the design.
Your events stay in your Ticket Spot account
Nothing about your events is stored in WordPress. A theme update or a plugin conflict cannot corrupt an order or interrupt a sale that is mid-checkout.
What you get on every plan, including Free
- Embedded checkout on your own page — no redirect to a third-party checkout domain
- Free tickets and RSVPs from the moment you sign up
- Event categories, so one widget can show a subset of your events
- Ticket pricing and capacity controls
- Import your existing events from Eventbrite, Ticket Tailor or TicketSpice
- Invite team members to help manage events
What you get on paid plans
- Paid tickets and pay-what-you-want tickets, with your own payment processor connected so funds reach your account directly (Professional and above)
- PDF tickets with QR codes, plus Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes (Professional)
- Mobile scan app for iOS and Android to check attendees in at the door (Professional)
- Fonts and colour customization so the widget sits inside your theme (Professional)

Instalace
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins Add New and search for Ticket Spot. Click Install Now, then Activate. (Or upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/and activate it from the Plugins screen.) - Go to Settings Ticket Spot and sign in to your Ticket Spot account. If you do not have one, create it free at https://ticketspotapp.com — no card required.
- In the Ticket Spot dashboard, create your event, then build a widget. Choose its layout — a calendar of upcoming events, or a list — and copy the widget ID.
Edit the page or post where tickets should appear and paste:
[ticket_spot widget_id=“your-widget-id“]
Note the underscore in ticket_spot. Without it WordPress will not recognise the shortcode and will print it on the page as text.
- Preview the page. The widget renders in place and checkout completes without leaving your site.
To show something different on another page, build a second widget and place its shortcode there.
Nejčastější dotazy
-
What is the shortcode?
-
[ticket_spot widget_id=“your-widget-id“] — note the underscore.
widget_idis the only attribute it accepts. What the widget displays and how it looks are set on the widget itself in the Ticket Spot dashboard, so the shortcode never needs editing again. -
Do visitors leave my site to buy a ticket?
-
No. Browsing, ticket selection and payment all happen inside the widget on your own WordPress page. The embedded checkout widget is available on every plan, including Free.
-
Is the plugin free?
-
Yes, and it stays free. The Free Ticket Spot plan covers free tickets and RSVPs for up to 20 attendees a month. Selling paid tickets starts on the Professional plan.
-
Are there per-ticket fees?
-
Ticket Spot charges 0% platform fees. Your payment processor charges its own standard transaction fees, and nothing is added on top of them.
-
Can I show an event calendar?
-
Yes. Choose the calendar layout when you build the widget, then place that widget’s shortcode on any page. A responsive list of events is the other layout.
-
Will it match my theme?
-
You set the widget’s fonts and colours in the Ticket Spot dashboard so it sits inside your theme, and it adapts to the width it is given on desktop, tablet and mobile. Font and colour customization starts on the Professional plan.
-
Where is my event data stored?
-
In your Ticket Spot account, not in WordPress. A theme update or a plugin conflict cannot corrupt an order or interrupt a sale in progress.
-
Is there a step-by-step setup guide?
-
Yes: https://ticketspotapp.com/blog/features/wordpress-event-ticketing-shortcode
