SEO Autopilot for Google and AI Answers – Tedrix

Popis

Tedrix does the SEO work on your WordPress site. It finds what holds your pages back in Google and in AI answers like ChatGPT, such as cut-off titles, missing descriptions, missing structured data and blocked AI crawlers. Then it writes the fix in your site’s own voice. It also emails you when a page starts losing visitors.

You choose the level, per site

  • Watch only: Tedrix reads your Google search data every week and emails you when a page starts losing visitors.
  • Approve each fix: Tedrix writes the new titles, descriptions, text, FAQ or structured data, and nothing changes on your site until you approve it.
  • Autopilot: Tedrix publishes the fix to WordPress itself and emails you every change with an undo in one click, then measures it after four weeks and rolls it back on its own if the numbers went down.

Every change is measured after four weeks. It works with your current SEO plugin, or with none. The levels are part of a paid Tedrix account.

Everything in WordPress

Connect with Google from the Tedrix page in wp-admin. A small window opens for Google, where you pick the account that has Search Console for your site, and you are back in WordPress, connected. No keys to copy.

Then the Tedrix page shows clicks from Google month by month, what Tedrix’s changes gave four weeks later, the suggestions waiting for you with Approve and Skip buttons, and the latest changes with their measured result.

Free in this plugin, no account

To get started, the plugin includes a free check of your titles, descriptions and AI readiness inside WordPress, with no account. You find it under Tools Tedrix check.

Google and AI check (one click)

Press „Check my site“ and the home page is checked the way Google and AI assistants read it:

  • Whether robots.txt shuts out AI crawlers such as ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity
  • Whether WordPress itself asks search engines to stay away
  • Whether the text is there without JavaScript
  • Whether the page answers something early, and has contact details and prices as text
  • Whether the page states who you are in structured data
  • Whether your company name can be found in public registers

Titles and descriptions (runs locally)

The plugin reads your published posts and pages and lists the ones that show up wrong in Google:

  • Titles longer than 60 characters, which Google cuts off
  • Pages with no meta description, where Google writes its own
  • Descriptions over 155 characters, which get cut, or under 70, which waste the space
  • Two or more pages sharing the same title, competing with each other

Each row links straight to the editor. It reads whichever SEO plugin you already use (Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress or The SEO Framework), including their title variables, so it reflects what actually gets sent to Google. Pages set to noindex are skipped, since they never show in search results.

No account and no signup are needed for either check.

How fixes reach your site

When the site is connected to a Tedrix account, this plugin is what applies the fixes:

  • Every change is approved by you in Tedrix first, or by the autopilot you switched on.
  • Requests are signed with a secret that lives only on this site and in your Tedrix account. Unsigned or mismatched requests are rejected.
  • Each change is saved as a normal WordPress revision, and the previous state is stored so a revert restores exactly what was there.
  • Only whitelisted fields are touched: title, meta description, content and structured data.
  • The description is written to the SEO plugin you use. With no SEO plugin, the plugin prints the approved description in the page head itself.

External services

This plugin connects to the Tedrix service, operated by Tedrix (Sweden), in the situations below. Swedish-language admins are sent to tedrix.se and everyone else to tedrix.io; it is the same service. Nothing is sent before you take one of the actions below.

  1. Google and AI check. When you press „Check my site“ under Tools Tedrix check, the plugin sends your site’s home address and your admin language to https://tedrix.io/api/wp/kontroll (or https://tedrix.se/api/wp/kontroll for Swedish admins). The service fetches your public home page and robots.txt, and looks up the company name in public registers (Allabolag, Hitta, Wikipedia), then returns the result. The address is stored for at most 14 days to check that the results are correct, and is never used to contact you.
  2. Connect with Google (optional). When you press „Connect with Google“ on the Tedrix page, a window opens at https://tedrix.io/wp/koppla with your site’s home address and a one-time code that ties the answer to your login. You sign in with Google there; Tedrix gets read-only access to your Search Console data and creates your Tedrix account. The window sends a one-time code back to WordPress, and the plugin exchanges it at https://tedrix.io/api/wp/koppling for the Site ID and connection secret, which are stored on this site. If the site is not in Search Console yet and you choose „Add the site to Search Console“, Google asks you for permission to add and verify it; the answer then also contains Google’s verification code, which the plugin stores on this site and prints as a google-site-verification meta tag in the page head so Google can confirm you own the site.
  3. Connected account (optional). Once connected, the Tedrix page asks https://tedrix.io/api/wp/oversikt for your clicks, results and waiting suggestions, and sends your Approve and Skip decisions to https://tedrix.io/api/wp/beslut. These requests are signed with the connection secret and contain only your admin language and the suggestion you decided on. The Tedrix service in turn sends signed requests to this site’s REST API (/wp-json/tedrix/v1/) to apply or revert changes you approved. The plugin does not send your content elsewhere.

The titles and descriptions check makes no external requests.

Nejčastější dotazy

Do I need an account?

No. Both checks work without an account. The account is only needed if you want Tedrix to write and apply fixes for you. You create it with „Connect with Google“ on the Tedrix page, without leaving WordPress.

What is sent to Tedrix?

Without an account, only when you press „Check my site“: your home address and admin language. With a connected account, the Tedrix page fetches your results and sends your decisions. See „External services“ above. The titles and descriptions check reads your own database and sends nothing.

Which Google account should I use?

The one that has Search Console for your site. If you pick an account without access to the site, Tedrix tells you which account you chose and asks you to pick another.

My site is not in Search Console. Can I still use Tedrix?

Yes. When you connect, Tedrix offers to add the site to Search Console for you. Google asks for your permission, the plugin puts Google’s verification tag on the site, and Search Console starts collecting data that day. Google has no data from before that, so the first suggestions build on what the site’s pages say, and the click data fills in over the following weeks.

Does it work with my SEO plugin?

Yes. The check reads the title and description from Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress or The SEO Framework, whichever is installed. With no SEO plugin it uses the post title, and WordPress itself prints no description.

What do the „Fix“ buttons do?

They take you to the Tedrix page in WordPress. Not connected yet, you can connect with Google there and start a free trial. Connected, you see the suggestions Tedrix wrote and approve them there. Nothing on your site changes before you approve. The checks in this plugin stay free either way.

Will it change anything by itself?

No. The checks only read and report. Nothing is modified unless you connect an account and approve a change, or switch on autopilot yourself in Tedrix.

Why does the check say my site runs on a local address?

A site on localhost or a private network can’t be fetched from the internet. The Google and AI check works once the site is online; the titles check works everywhere.

How many pages does the titles check cover?

The 300 most recently modified posts and pages, so it stays fast on large sites.
